Hacking LEGO Mindstorms with AWS IoT and ML

This is why I love my work at Amazon Web Services β solve complex customer problems at work, come home, geek out and build more.
This project combines a LEGO Mindstorms robot with AWS IoT and AWS Machine Learning services to give it capabilities far beyond what it can do out of the box. By connecting the Mindstorms EV3 brick to AWS IoT Core, the robot can send sensor data to the cloud and receive commands in real time. Layering in AWS ML services like Amazon Rekognition for vision and Amazon Polly for speech opens up possibilities like object recognition, voice interaction, and intelligent decision-making β turning a toy robot into a smart, cloud-connected machine.
Itβs a great example of how AWS services can extend hardware in creative ways, and a fun weekend hack that blends robotics, IoT, and machine learning.
